Calm after Temptation

Dear Lord, sometimes I think I am more diligent about my thoughts than my actions. Help me to remember that unholy thoughts have a greater purpose. Let me remember that it is in consenting to the wrongdoing that brings great harm. With your help, let me be strong enough to resist the temptation of these ideas and use them instead to sanctify myself. Be ever in my mind and heart so that these trials remain only fleeting notions and that my actions are sound and holy according to your Will.
