Growth Through Daily Trials

Dear God, help me to remember the value of my daily trials.  I find myself often deep in self-pity for the challenges that I face—when I know that my neighbor might be facing much worse.  Remind me that I am not being punished when such difficulties come my way.  Let me always find the opportunity for personal and spiritual growth in these instances.  Even though I may not understand the reason for all my sufferings, teach me to trust in your divine wisdom and put my faith in your love.
