Peace in Married Love

Dear Lord, why is it that we have a tendency in our lives to sometimes see only the imperfections in those we love? I wonder what I would think of myself if I turned that critical eye inward! I fear it would not be too flattering. Help me to love, cherish and honor my spouse. Let me be thankful each day for having a partner in my life. Let me remember that such a relationship makes the joy all the brighter and the sorrow all the softer. And as the years pass, let us continue to love and respect each other with the help of your love as a unifying force in our lives.
