The Fruits of Prayer

Dear Lord, help me to pray with an open mind and heart. Let me come to you with true abandon and speak to you as a young child to a parent–with enthusiasm, innocence and total faith. Sometimes I worry about being perfect in my approach. But I know that you are listening to me even when I can’t quite find the right words. I trust that you will guide me in my prayers and show me the way to deep and everlasting peace.
