St. Vincent Strambi was a devout Italian priest who joined the Passionist Congregation after being inspired by its founder, St. Paul of the Cross.

Known for his powerful preaching, deep humility and love of the poor, he became a spiritual director, retreat leader and eventually Bishop of Macerata and Tolentino.

As bishop, he lived simply, cared deeply for his people and fearlessly defended the rights of the Church. After resigning, he served as an advisor to Pope Leo XII and died with a reputation for holiness and wisdom.
