B. Lorenzo Salvi

Blessed Lorenzo Salvi was born in Rome and entered the Passionist Congregation in 1801. He was ordained a priest in 1805 and became known for his deep devotion to the Passion of Christ and to the Infant Jesus, which became a central theme of his preaching.

Despite challenges, including political unrest and suppression of religious communities during his lifetime, Lorenzo remained faithful to his vocation. He served as a missionary, preacher and spiritual director, spreading the message of Christ’s love and suffering. He lived a life of humility, prayer and service, and died with a reputation for holiness.
