Blessed are we when we silence our own voices enough to truly hear the word of God in all its depth of meaning.

Two of our saints today have a special place in the history and spirituality of the Passionist religious community.

Ultimately, He answers our prayers with the ultimate gift. He sends the Holy Spirit to guide us, teach us and strengthen us.

Learning to pray has been, and continues to be, a lifelong process for me.

What would our world be like if more of us put down the screens, pulled out the earbuds, turned from the TV, and focused on the human being in front of us?

The lawyer wanted the boundary drawn around the object of duty. Jesus draws it around the subject who loves.

Today we are challenged by another of Jesus’ encounters with the religious leaders of his day.  Matthew shares Jesus’ parable of the owner of a vineyard who seeks his share of the vineyard produce.

Faced with misfortune, it is only human to be tempted to look beyond faith for answers.

We can go forward, and help others to go forward, if we keep our eyes fixed on God.

Perhaps one of the simplest gifts we can give another person today is our willingness to truly encounter them.
