Prayers

St. Paul of the Cross “wished his followers to pray without ceasing” and “desired his communities to become schools of prayer,” leading us to a deeper experience of God.

Prayer is accessible to us in every moment of every day. It is our immediate connection with a God who is both transcendent and imminent. Prayer can be verbal, meditative, or contemplative. We can pray with our whole body through movement, ritual actions or by serving others.

We invite you to explore these prayers and encourage you to create your own to use every day.

Prayer for Immigrants

Merciful God, we pray to you forall the men, women and children
who have died after leaving their homelands in search of a better life.
Though many of their graves bear no name,
to you each one is known, loved and cherished.
