As we continue our Lenten journey maybe we should all feel a bit overwhelmed at what God is calling us to do.

As we continue our Lenten journey maybe we should all feel a bit overwhelmed at what God is calling us to do.

We know in this familiar story that the seed is the word of God and Christ is the sower.

Today we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

While some may see the Kingdom of God as some heavenly realm in the sky above, I prefer to think that the Kingdom of God rests all around us right here in our midst.

Jesus talks about the importance of the signs all around us that can either keep us on the kingdom path or lead us away.

Saints Simon and Jude, give us wisdom and strength as we seek to spread Jesus’ message of peace and hope so desperately needed in our time and place.

Most of all it pricks our conscience and makes us more aware of the times we have self-righteously passed by the Lazarus’ at our doorstep?!

Sometimes it is more challenging to ‘pay attention’ to how God works in our life when the message is one that challenges us or calls us to do something we don’t necessarily want to do.

We can forget how important a kind word or gentle action on our part can mean to those around us.
