Update from Fr. Clemente Barrón, C.P.
January 13, 2025
Letter from Fr. Clemente, C.P., to Fr. David Colhour, C.P., Provincial of Holy Cross Province:
Dear David and Province,
The Liturgical Season says that today we begin Ordinary Time.
Last night, we received word that the mandatory evacuation has been lifted for our neighborhood. This is the first step to coming back to ordinary time for us, but there are more steps needed before returning to our community residence to live. We will keep you posted as we continue our journey.
I thank the Province and the entire Passionist Family for the continued prayers. We Passionists of Mater Dolorosa have been blessed with places to stay, meals to eat and good lodging. We have heard from Passionists from all over the world, including Fr. General.
The outpouring of offers to assist us in any way is overwhelming. Thank everyone for us because it is impossible for us to do so now.
We will let you know when we can get back to live at, and not just visit, Mater Dolorosa Passionist Community in Sierra Madre, California.
Your brother,
Clemente Barrón, C.P.
