Hispanic Outreach

The Passionist Community

The Passionist Community was founded by St. Paul of the Cross in Italy, in 1720. From his childhood, he was very devoted to the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Being moved by a sermon on the Passion of Jesus, he committed himself to meditate on the Passion of Jesus Crucified, which he interpreted as the ultimate sign of God’s mercy. Likewise, he was convinced that the people of his stage were forgetting that act of generous love of God.

As Passionists of Holy Cross Province, we are committed to serving God’s people and as such we seek out God’s people. We know the power of the love of Christ Crucified speaks to every human heart.

Our Hispanic Ministry expresses our strong desire to increase programs in Spanish to better serve the growing Catholic community.
