Eleventh Station: Jesus is Nailed to the Cross

The Way of the Cross, Prayed in honor of the way of our martyrs in the Middle East:

Please scroll down for Spanish and Arabic Translations

11-Eleventh Station11th Station: Jesus is Nailed to the Cross

Call: We adore you, O, Christ, and we bless you.

Response: Because by your holy Cross, you have redeemed the world.

“Those passing by reviled him, shaking their heads and saying, ‘You who would destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save yourself, if you are the Son of God come down from the cross. Likewise the chief priests with the scribes and elders mocked him and said, ‘He saved others; he cannot save himself. So he is the king of Israel! Let him come down from the cross now, and we will believe in him. He trusted in God; let him deliver him now if he wants him’” Matthew 27:39-43a.

Meditation prayer:

Lord, Jesus, it breaks my heart that you had to suffer for my sins. Yet, I know it had to be for the salvation of the world. You wiped out everlasting sin for all who choose to follow you. The suffering in Iraq and the Middle East and throughout the rest of the world seems so senseless, yet, somehow, we believe that your hand is there. Again we cry out to you; bring peace, send courage and strength to our brothers and sisters. Glory to you, Lord Jesus, Lamb of God; take away the evil from our midst; show us the way forward. Show me how to love today.

Continue the Journey with the Twelfth Station: Jesus Dies on the Cross

Guía: Te adoramos, oh Cristo, y te bendecimos.

Enséñame a amar hoy.
